We recently published our new global five year strategy that sets out the direction for the future.

October 2020

Thank you to all the volunteers that are bringing parkruns to their communities across Australia, the Falkland Islands, Japan and New Zealand.

For those unable to volunteer at their local event where they remain closed, rest assured you have not been forgotten and we are working hard to bring parkrun back in all territories. You can follow the weekly updates here. In the meantime we encourage you to participate in (not)parkrun and remain part of your local community by following the results representing your home event.

Earlier this year we released our COVID-19 Framework and currently all open territories are operating under this guidance. To equip yourself for parkrun returning in your area, you can access the framework.

Last month we released and shared in our volunteer update some exciting new features of the Virtual Volunteer mobile application. Since then, tens of thousands of people have downloaded or updated to the latest version, and it's working brilliantly to allow teams to increase the number of people scanning, whilst simplifying and speeding up processing results and allocating volunteer credits.

Whilst you might not be able to use the app at your event, you can join the park-ton Challenge.
